Concerned about the ecological impact of imports from third countries, the project for a sail-powered container ship linking France and Madagascar seemed an obvious choice, given that we regularly import organic essential oils from Madagascar.

As a member of the Windcoop cooperative behind this project, we are pleased to announce that the first sheet metal was cut on December 19, 2025, and construction is expected to be completed in June 2027!

This container ship, measuring 94 meters in length and equipped with three rigid wings, will be able to transport 210 containers, reducing the carbon footprint of transport by a factor of three!
